Hello, hola, ola, bonjour, ciao, yiasou!

I'm Juan, a part-time traveler who's been to over 40 destinations all over the world. You might be wondering "What do you mean part-time traveler?" Well, I do have a full-time job and travel when I feel like escaping the concrete jungle of Chicago. There are perks however to a corporate job, such as a month’s worth of vacation/PTO which I am able to use whenever I want..kinda.

I can still remember the first trip I made abroad. It was the trip that would trigger my wanderlust. It all started in the summer of 2011. I went to Athens, Greece for a study abroad program that my school offered. It was my first time overseas and it was a truly amazing experience that opened my eyes to the vast amount of culture and life that other people in different parts of the world exhibit. I itch to travel because I know there is life out there, so different to the States.

For me, traveling has become a top priority in my life. I have lived through so many experiences through traveling that it has only facilitated the planning of my future trips. One of my New Year’s resolutions for 2017 is to create a blog documenting my travels, providing tips, and helpful information that has made my experiences so worthwhile. I aim to show you how easy traveling can be!
